About Me

My photo
Welcome. My name is Lisa and I live on a farm in Northeastern PA. I have a wonderful husband of over 30 years and two fabulous sons. One with a wonderful wife and another with a wonderful girlfriend. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and an 4 year old grandson. We have a dog, two cats, and 5 horses. I started into this art as a possible scrapbooker until my good friend Lou Ann (SCS Crooked Stamper) invited me to a Stampin' Up party. Now I'm hooked. We had to turn a room of our home into a craft room for all my stuff. Then I needed a second craft room and did classes. Then I decided to open an in home store using three more rooms of our home. Between Lou Ann (Crafter and IT department) and Mary Ann (Crafter and Jewelry department) and a few other friends, I'm having the time of my life!!!!

If You Love Something

For this card I would like to thank The Funky Junkie.  Not only does she (Linda) have incredible cards and tags, but the items that she uses are pictured and listed in links below her project, and you can easily order from her Boutique.  And when your order comes, she puts in great little thank you gifts.  She also has great tutorials and links.  Which brings me to my card.......
I've noticed her last couple of projects containing darling vintage pictures.  In her description she tells about a site called Magic Moonlight Free Images.  FREE IMAGES!  That means more money for goodies.
Anyway, the card, right?  I taped lace to the base, added an embossed page, and then SU dsp.

Cream Woven Jute Ribbon
(Part of my gift from the Funky Junky)

I distress the image with Distress inks after ripping and crumpling the paper.  I attached it to the card with a heart brad.  The little embellishment in the upper right corner is a folder piece of ribbon attached with a SU vintage pin with a couple of beads and a piece of lace.  The bottom was a saying that was printed off the computer with another piece of lace behind it.  In front is a piece of woven Ivory burlap ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel.  I put a feather in the empty birdcage, so sad to say, it did not come back.   : ^ (  Hope you enjoyed!!!!!

  1. Again, you hit the mark with this card. You have a knack for putting vintage cards together. Love the feather in the bird cage...where was Fluffy when you were making the card?

  2. What a vintage delight you have created here, Lisa. Love that you matched the birdcage up with the vintage image of the woman holding the birdcage. Your lace is just beautiful and I think the feather in the birdcage is brilliant! Thank you for your flattering comments about my work and my shop! That is so appreciated. It was great to see your card linked up to Sunday Share this week too - welcome and hope to see you back frequently!

    Hugs,
    Linda
