About Me

My photo
Welcome. My name is Lisa and I live on a farm in Northeastern PA. I have a wonderful husband of over 30 years and two fabulous sons. One with a wonderful wife and another with a wonderful girlfriend. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and an 4 year old grandson. We have a dog, two cats, and 5 horses. I started into this art as a possible scrapbooker until my good friend Lou Ann (SCS Crooked Stamper) invited me to a Stampin' Up party. Now I'm hooked. We had to turn a room of our home into a craft room for all my stuff. Then I needed a second craft room and did classes. Then I decided to open an in home store using three more rooms of our home. Between Lou Ann (Crafter and IT department) and Mary Ann (Crafter and Jewelry department) and a few other friends, I'm having the time of my life!!!!

Gigglers Birthday Cards

Last night the Gigglers got together to say "Happy Birthday" to four of our group. Pam, Elaine, Shannon, & Vickie were the birthday girls and showered with cards.   I CASed these cards from a fabulous cardmarker named Melissa and you can view the card here.  I was so blown away, I had to email her to see how she did the inking of the debossed portion of the cards.  She told me that she inked the ef before running it through her embossing machine.  I have heard of that, but have never done it, or seen it look like hers.  I would recommend you check out her SC gallery and her blog.

My cards were all pretty much the same except for one item being different on each card.    Dragonflies, a gold and pearl button, pearls and a butterfly.  Everything else is the same.

Stamps:  SU Fabulous Phrases
Paper:  SU Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake
Ink:  SU Crumb Cake (for stamping and sponging)
Accessories:  Small Organza Roses; Half Pearls:  Recollections Pearls; Button; Dragonfly Brads; Doily
Tools:  MS Punch (I kept the tiny flowers from a punch); Spellbinder; CheeryLynn Designs (Butterfly)
Cuttlebug & SU embossing folders

  1. Beautiful cards all 4 of them, love the trim and the doilies, and of course the Embossed areas too. Lovely!!

  2. very pretty, Lisa! I love the rosette ribbon! I have some yellow here to be used and waiting for more coming in the mail...lol... but I like your smaller size! I tried that technique of inking the embossing folder a few months ago and it was an epic fail. lol. Guess I need to try again.
