About Me

My photo
Welcome. My name is Lisa and I live on a farm in Northeastern PA. I have a wonderful husband of over 30 years and two fabulous sons. One with a wonderful wife and another with a wonderful girlfriend. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and an 4 year old grandson. We have a dog, two cats, and 5 horses. I started into this art as a possible scrapbooker until my good friend Lou Ann (SCS Crooked Stamper) invited me to a Stampin' Up party. Now I'm hooked. We had to turn a room of our home into a craft room for all my stuff. Then I needed a second craft room and did classes. Then I decided to open an in home store using three more rooms of our home. Between Lou Ann (Crafter and IT department) and Mary Ann (Crafter and Jewelry department) and a few other friends, I'm having the time of my life!!!!

VLVSep2012 Mercies

Happy Saturday!  It's raining (or should I say pouring) in our little corner of NEPA.  But that's OK because I'm playing with my cards anyway.  Today I did the first of the Viva la Verve Sept Challenge from Verve aka VLVSep2012.  It's a great sketch by Amber Hight.
Where my last card had so little variety of products, this one is across the board.  It's a square card then I decided to rotate on it's side.

Nothing really noteworthy.  Just cutting squares and die cutting circles, but I did do a Memory Box die and used my SU butterfly stamps and punch for the first time (the punch was only for the Monarch butterfly) I embossed the butterflies and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink for the wings.
Stamps:  Verve "New Mercies" & "Fairy Tales"; SU "Papillomn Potpourri"
Paper:  SU Early Espresso & Very Vanilla; Creative Imaaginations Devotion dsp
Ink:  SU Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Black Embossing Powder; Tim Holtz Distress Spiced Marmalade & Mustard Seed
Dies:  Spellbinder Circles & Label #4; Memory Box LaRue Flourish
Tools:  SU Butterfly Punch & Pop-dots

  1. Fantastic! Love your version of the sketch.
    Hugs, Dangina

  2. This is amazing…I was going to say WOW but I need to expand my vocabulary to describe your projects!! I love your choice of paper and the butterflies add the right splash of color. The Memory Box die is perfect for this design. You really nailed this one!

  3. What a gorgeous card. Love the colors and flourishes. Your butterflies are beautiful and a perfect pop of color. TFS

  4. Wow, you have been busy! All great cards and this one is my fave! Love the papers and butterflies!
