About Me

My photo
Welcome. My name is Lisa and I live on a farm in Northeastern PA. I have a wonderful husband of over 30 years and two fabulous sons. One with a wonderful wife and another with a wonderful girlfriend. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and an 4 year old grandson. We have a dog, two cats, and 5 horses. I started into this art as a possible scrapbooker until my good friend Lou Ann (SCS Crooked Stamper) invited me to a Stampin' Up party. Now I'm hooked. We had to turn a room of our home into a craft room for all my stuff. Then I needed a second craft room and did classes. Then I decided to open an in home store using three more rooms of our home. Between Lou Ann (Crafter and IT department) and Mary Ann (Crafter and Jewelry department) and a few other friends, I'm having the time of my life!!!!

Well-Behaving Women

i

Who doesn't love this phase.  When I saw this sentiment stamp from Rubbernecker I couldn't resist.  And the woman (also a Rubbernecker)?  Well, she just had "Paper Piece Me" written all over her.  So, this is for three SCS challenges.  Friday Free for All, Monday Color, and Card Sketch.  If you've never tried them, jump in.  They are great fun and have really helped me putting cards together.  I'm also getting wild about 6X6 and 8X8 paper packs.  A few months ago I could not bring myself to combine patterns, but  if you look at my SCS gallery you'll see a big change in my cards.  I just hope I don't start dressing like that......

Donnie's "Belated" Birthday Card

Ever heard of the shoemakers kids that didn't have shoes.  Well, how about the cardmakers son that didn't get a timely birthday card.  Get it?  Shoemaker - kids - shoes ^ Cardmaker - son - card.  Well, while my son was in the living room, I was in my craft room with a shower of paper, stamps, and ink.
This is what I came up with.

Fishin and Shopping

OK!  Here we go! This is my first Teapot Challenge MMTPT184 with SCS.  And I need fish.  WELL....I've had the sentiment stamp for a while, but never could seem to use it.  I used it now...  My big problem with to color the fish.  So I went on the SCS Stampin' Up Gallery for "Fishin" and found this card that made the fish look real and not just colored.

I used a couple crayons from my SU Watercolor Wonder Crayons with my SU Blender.  I then appled some Distress Rock Candy Stickles to them for that "just caught" twinkle.  I also wanted to lift then off the paper a little.

Last, but now least, here is the inside of my card.  Now ladies, pay attention.  This method does work.  Send him fishing and you can add to your stampin goodies.

Hope you enjoy it...................

Welcome Baby

Another Verve challenge at SCS.  This one is 5 1/4 X 3 1/4 which is a different size for me.  But I do like it.  The rosette I made with my SU Simply Scored.  I sponged the top of the flower and the border of the sentiment with SU Regal Rose.  I used a 1 and a 1 1/4 punch for the center.  Hope you like it....

Shamrock Blessings

This card is for the 4th week of the January Viva La Verve Challenge.  They have had some great sketches to use.  This is (like most all of my cards) a WYSIWYG, or "What you see is what you get".  The only thing I did that was different was that I used a spellbinder oval to cut out a white piece to put behind the teeny circles on the tag.  I didn't like the look of the patterned paper peeking through.

SUPPLIES
Stamps:  Verve "Blessings"
Paper:  The Paper Studio "All Seasons"; SU Pear Pizzazz; SU Whisper White
Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Oval and Fancy Tags 3; SU Scalloped Trim Border

Thinking of You

This card is for another SCS Sketch Challenge.  I sure am getting into them.  If you've never played you need to check it out.  I can't wait until Wednesdays when the next challenge sketch is posted.  This is the first rosette that I did with my Tim Holtz Alterations Mini Paper Rosettes die (say that 10 times fast).  You can also make them using a scoring pad (which I did last weekend at a Stampin' Up party hosted by my friend and fellow giggler Shannon) which takes longer, but you have options with size and boarders.
