About Me

My photo
Welcome. My name is Lisa and I live on a farm in Northeastern PA. I have a wonderful husband of over 30 years and two fabulous sons. One with a wonderful wife and another with a wonderful girlfriend. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and an 4 year old grandson. We have a dog, two cats, and 5 horses. I started into this art as a possible scrapbooker until my good friend Lou Ann (SCS Crooked Stamper) invited me to a Stampin' Up party. Now I'm hooked. We had to turn a room of our home into a craft room for all my stuff. Then I needed a second craft room and did classes. Then I decided to open an in home store using three more rooms of our home. Between Lou Ann (Crafter and IT department) and Mary Ann (Crafter and Jewelry department) and a few other friends, I'm having the time of my life!!!!

Pretty Maids All In A Row

My youngest son recently proposed to his girlfriend and she had asked my to help her make some things to give to her bridesmaids when she asked them to celebrete their special day.  The wedding colors will be pink, ivory, and gold.  She bought some beautiful boxes of pink and gold and padded it with ivory and gold crinkled ribbon.  We etched some wine glasses, thanks to Mary Ann Hicks (Thanks Mary Ann!) with the first inital of each girls name.  She bought those 100 carot ring pops and a lovely cookie and a hair tie that said "To Have and to Hold....Your Hair Back"  I wanted to do something with Tim Holtz's dress form and made a couple different dresses to show Jerika.  When she could decide and said to maybe make a couple styles I was in crafter's heaven.  So each one is different.  But as I was making them, I just kept hearing the Eagles singing Pretty Maids All In A Row.

To make them I just die cut the form in chipboard (you have to angle the chipboard so it fits), gesso and painted them in gold.  Attached some double sided 1/4" Scor tape to the waist.  Gathered the skirt and layed on the tape.  I gave them all different tops, sashes, and jewels and a couple even had an extra layer of lace.  The necklaces are all different.  One is a single pearl with a gold thread chain, another had a choker of pink pearls.  And alot of stuff came from my stash.

Hope you enjoyed it!
