About Me

My photo
Welcome. My name is Lisa and I live on a farm in Northeastern PA. I have a wonderful husband of over 30 years and two fabulous sons. One with a wonderful wife and another with a wonderful girlfriend. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and an 4 year old grandson. We have a dog, two cats, and 5 horses. I started into this art as a possible scrapbooker until my good friend Lou Ann (SCS Crooked Stamper) invited me to a Stampin' Up party. Now I'm hooked. We had to turn a room of our home into a craft room for all my stuff. Then I needed a second craft room and did classes. Then I decided to open an in home store using three more rooms of our home. Between Lou Ann (Crafter and IT department) and Mary Ann (Crafter and Jewelry department) and a few other friends, I'm having the time of my life!!!!

WMSC105 Still Crazy

WMSC105     It's time for that Dancing Mouse again.  This sketch challenge (WMSC105)  is done by Teresa Kline and a nice sketch it is.  Of all of the sketch challenges I know (which is few, but.....) Waltzing Mouse just makes me think of vintage.  So I went to my "Vintage Paper" Box and pawed through all the Melissa Frances paper (which I love) but got to the odds and ends papers.  I came across some Anne Griffen paper that I thought was just beautiful so I decided to use that.

I paper pierced the corners of the middle sections (the one with the bigger flowers) but it really didn't look very good so I covered them with pearls.  Believe me, I listened when they said that there are NO mistakes, only embellishment opportunities.  LOL.  I'll show you both and you be the judge.   Leave a comment on which one you like better.  The choices are below.  I also sponged the edges to give it a more vintage look.

  7. Love your choice of paper and the pearls are just the finishing touch. I agree the pearls work better than the paper peircing. They're more visible since you used patterned paper.
