About Me

My photo
Welcome. My name is Lisa and I live on a farm in Northeastern PA. I have a wonderful husband of over 30 years and two fabulous sons. One with a wonderful wife and another with a wonderful girlfriend. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and an 4 year old grandson. We have a dog, two cats, and 5 horses. I started into this art as a possible scrapbooker until my good friend Lou Ann (SCS Crooked Stamper) invited me to a Stampin' Up party. Now I'm hooked. We had to turn a room of our home into a craft room for all my stuff. Then I needed a second craft room and did classes. Then I decided to open an in home store using three more rooms of our home. Between Lou Ann (Crafter and IT department) and Mary Ann (Crafter and Jewelry department) and a few other friends, I'm having the time of my life!!!!

OCCC From My Kitchen

I made this tag for the Our Creative Corner Challenge which is "Bakin Beauties"  The challenge is to use something that you would use in your kitchen.  I decided to go the way of Tim Holtz with my background and using a couple of his stamps.  The tag in raspberry has holes that I poked in the top and used a pen to have it look like I sewed it.  Well, that didn't look right so I ended up sewing it by hand.  (I don't know how to run my sewing machine.)    For my stuff from the kitchen I used aluminum foil (four layers) for the pot, tooth picks( colored with Tim Holtz Mowed Grass) for the stems, coffee filters for the flowers and unpopped corn for the flower's centers.  The moss in the pot is from cheesecloth that I colored with TH Mowed Grass by rubbing the ink pad on my craft sheet, adding a little water, and dying the fabric.  I did that same thing with the die cut flower, only with Spun Sugar.

This sure was fun to make.  I hope you enjoy viewing it as I had making it.  Let me know what you think.  Your comments are always appreciated.

  1. Well haven't you made a superb job of completing this challenge with this wonderful Tag!
It is just delightful Lisa; first the foil pot, and using the tooth-pics; great idea there for the stems, but it is your coffee filter flowers that steal the show for me, they are the most deliciously soft Pink, a wonderful job indeed.
    I am loving this Tag.
Thank you so very much for joining us this week at OCC, we are thrilled to see your work.
