About Me

My photo
Welcome. My name is Lisa and I live on a farm in Northeastern PA. I have a wonderful husband of over 30 years and two fabulous sons. One with a wonderful wife and another with a wonderful girlfriend. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and an 4 year old grandson. We have a dog, two cats, and 5 horses. I started into this art as a possible scrapbooker until my good friend Lou Ann (SCS Crooked Stamper) invited me to a Stampin' Up party. Now I'm hooked. We had to turn a room of our home into a craft room for all my stuff. Then I needed a second craft room and did classes. Then I decided to open an in home store using three more rooms of our home. Between Lou Ann (Crafter and IT department) and Mary Ann (Crafter and Jewelry department) and a few other friends, I'm having the time of my life!!!!

Yellow Polka-dot Bikini

This is a card that I did for a "Twisted" Swap.  I got the old women in a bathing suit stamp awhile ago, and when a saw the young woman in a bathing suit, I knew I had to have it just for this purpose.  The young one is a Loralle stamp, but I can't find the other one to know who made it.  And wouldn't you know that it is the one stamp that I didn't copy and put in my inventory book.  I'm thinking it "might" be Art Impressions, but I went online and can't find it there.  SORRY! If anyone knows, please let me know.  Or course, that doesn't mean I'll find the stamp itself, unless you could help me there too...........

SC410, Seaside Memories

Happy Saturday.  Today I did a card from SCS Sketch Challenge SC410.  Taylor made a cute sketch but for some reason it took me quite a while to come up with something.  I'm in one of those creative slumps again.  Anyway, I just got a new stamp set off ebay by Crafty Secrets called Seaside.  I just love that little tot on the shore.  So I went from there.  Using a Tim Holtz water brush, I filled it with Dove solution.  (I saw it on youtube once and wanted to try it)  I put Distress ink right on my craft sheet and used that as a pallet.  I also used Glossy Accents on the hat, shovel and pail.

The idea of a net was from my friend Lou Ann (Crooker Stamper)  from her scrapbook LO Catch of theDay.Thanks Lou Ann!

Hey, How Are You?

[WMSC122%255B5%255D.jpg]     Hi!  Today is my birthday.  Happy Birthday to me!!!!  I've had a dinner with my family, tons of well wishes on facebook, and next week is the Gigglers monthly birthday dinner and this month is MINE!  So lots of beautiful cards and great friends and lots of giggles.

My card today is for two challenges.  The Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge#122 which is a cute sketch by Renee Lynch.  And this sketch works right into Joan's Challenge at SCS for Layered Scallops in TLC402.
This card is made with just blue and white with a little brown sponging.  For my scallops I used both a punch and a die.  I learned how to do a double bow at the CKC in Lancaster this year, but I tried a triple.  Hope you enjoy it.    And for all of you that are still up, the election is over.  Which means tomorrow I will not have 15 calls from faceless recordings, elected officals recording, and few real people, and a really exciting call from Clint Eastwood.  Although I would probably have voted for anyone that would promise not to call me in the afternoon when I'm taking a nap because I have a cold.

WMSC121 "I Do"

[WMSC1214.jpg]I'm trying to get back on a roll of making cards again.  And what better way than doing the same sketch challenge twice.  I really like this sketch by Jeanne Jachna for the Waltzingmouse Challenge 121.  Instead of the two panels on the left side of the sketch, I used two adorable love birds from The Greeting Farm.

I did want to show off the brides beautiful dress and flowers.  Her dress is made of Diamond Stickles (how's that for ironic?)  and her flowers were from Cotton Candy and Lime Green Stickles.  And check out that rock!!!!  Zva can sure make a Wedding Bling.  I mean Ring.  They can sure dress a bride!
