About Me

My photo
Welcome. My name is Lisa and I live on a farm in Northeastern PA. I have a wonderful husband of over 30 years and two fabulous sons. One with a wonderful wife and another with a wonderful girlfriend. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and an 4 year old grandson. We have a dog, two cats, and 5 horses. I started into this art as a possible scrapbooker until my good friend Lou Ann (SCS Crooked Stamper) invited me to a Stampin' Up party. Now I'm hooked. We had to turn a room of our home into a craft room for all my stuff. Then I needed a second craft room and did classes. Then I decided to open an in home store using three more rooms of our home. Between Lou Ann (Crafter and IT department) and Mary Ann (Crafter and Jewelry department) and a few other friends, I'm having the time of my life!!!!

OCCC Red Congrats

Happy Friday.  I've been really busy these last couple of days watching my grandkids.  So fun...so exhausting.  And now I'm having issues with my computer, or my camera card, or, let's face it, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to the techie world.  I downloaded a new picture program and whenever I do that it's always an issue for a while when I try to get to my pictures (which explains my poor photo crop on this post).  Anyway OCCC has a great challenge called "Office Supplies with a Twist"  So make a card using office supplies, with a twist of red. Cool, huh!  So what better card then a Congratulations card for a person with a new teaching job.  So with my stamps, paper, ink, red paper clip, binder clip, red pencil, red "Sign Here sticky, red string, staples, red push pin, and extras from my paper crafting hero, The Funkie Junkie, I   went to work on  the project,  I didn't like my first scissors so I did another using clear embossing powder.  It was a new sealed jar so I had to take off the plastic with my micro-tip scissors.  Guess what?  I cut my pointer finger and bleed like you wouldn't believe.  I almost got blood on my card, which, being red, maybe wasn't such a bad idea.  I bleed for my craft.  Haha!  The only things of note are 1) The embossed scissors, and 2) the gold embossed Congratulations with the red marked in between the gold bars.  Hope you enjoy.  And click on my links in this post.  You'll be glad you did.  Thanks,  Lisa

Kimberly's Shower

Here's an older card I haven't had a chance to upload yet, and by older, I mean a couple of weeks.  My good friend and fellow Giggler Diane (aka CookieStamper) is getting ready for her daughter to be married.  I was not able to go to the shower because we were going down to Harrisburg to visit our youngest son.  I heard it was a great time.  Anyway, this is the card I made for her.  It was a first time use for several of the products, but boy were they fun.

It was the first time I used my SU Framelits - Labels Collection.  Very nice dies.  I was also the first time I used one of those dies with the little holes in the side to position you picture from Our Daily Bread.  Well, I didn't know how I would like them, but they were GREAT!  I highly recommend them.  I also did that lenghtening thing with the SU modern lable punches.
Hope you like it!!!!

WMSC110, OCCC, Howdy Partner

[WMSC110%255B5%255D.jpg]
Hi!  I'm back again.  Man, I sure have lost some creative juices.  Not checking enough challenges I guess.  Anyway, with 2 hours before the Waltzingmouse deadline, I figured I better get chacking.  I used their Happy Trails stamp set for this card.
Next up, Our Creative Corner Challenge.  Denim, 3 buttons or brads, 3 ribbons or twine.  My denim is the Tim Holtz border on the left and the flower on the bottom right.  The buttons are on the flower and the 2 button stars on the upper right.  And I've woven twine in the denim border and in the 3 buttons.

Judy's Birthday

WOW!  It sure has been awhile since I've been here.  My biggest (longest) reason for not posting was five (yes, five) fun filled days in Lancaster, PA with my good friends and fellow gigglers Lou Ann, Shannon, and Jeannette.  It was the annual CKC convention and it was GREAT!    Vickie and Sheila also stopped in for a couple days.  Then, a still unknown rash and crappy cold for a week (or two).  A family reunion to host.  A Stampin' Up party.  Well, it's a good thing that some card making events came up, or I probably wouldn't have these done either.
This is a birthday card for my friend Judy.  The gigglers got together and celebrated with fun and cards, but I think her favorite part was that her son, daughter-in-law and her two adorable grandchildren were there from Germany.
Anyway, the card.....I got a couple stamp sets from Crafty Secrets and I just love the vintageness (?) of them.  Aren't those sentiments cute.  The teacup is from Heartfeft colored with Copics and distressed with Distress Ink.  The pin and staples are Tim Holtz and the paper, lace and ribbons are scraps.  Hope you like it.  Hope she liked it.
